Niels on the Road
Hi, my name is Niels and welcome to my website. I am a passionate photographer and in recent years also started doing more with video. On this website most of my hobbies and interests come together: travel, infrastructure (roads), geography, nature & urbanism, photo & video.
'Niels on the Road' was born a few years ago when I started filming my road trips and sharing them with the world on Youtube. Travel and especially driving have always been very inspiring to me. As a kid I was already obsessed with roads and travel, from spotting (foreign) license plates to watching cities and mountains pass by from the backseat. Mix in a passion for cars and automotive and you get a road trip / travel obsessed guy like myself.
I generally drive 20.000+ kilometers a year, the vast majority of it is long distance. This includes vacations and visiting family in my home country, the Netherlands. When driving in Western Europe I try to get creative and take different routes each time so I see something new and of course also film some new roads for the Youtube channel.
